Calciumis a large mineral, and therefore, if included in the multivitamin at the recommended daily amount for children, the multivitamin would be quite large. Calcium also tends to inhibit absorption of other minerals, such as iron, when packaged together, another reason you are less likely to find calcium included in your child’s multivitamin. Food is the best way to get calcium.
