Lauren Manaker is an award-winning registered dietitian, lactation counselor, and book author with almost two decades of experience providing evidence-based information to the general public on a variety of nutrition-related topics. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Dietitian of the Year Award by the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Emerging Leader in Women's Health Award by the National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

She has been featured in publications like CNN and US News and World Report. With a special interest in women's health, she holds an executive position with the Women's Health DPG of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Other leadership roles include holding a position on the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the AND Breastfeeding and Advocacy Policy Group.

Education

Lauren has a Master of Science degree from Rush University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She earned her Certified Lactation Educator-Counselor certification from the University of California-San Diego.
